Photography Exhibition, Charing Cross Library (26 Sep 2013)
On Thursday 26 September 2013, the British Chinese Workforce Heritage project opened the doors to the Charing Cross Library photography exhibition, highlighting some of the most interesting stories from the project.
The photography exhibition launch party was well attended and guests included interviewees such as Jason Li, Jeremy Pang, Robert Chan and Galy Leung, who were able to see their own stories in the exhibition. Interviewee's and partners of the project were able to connect, whilst the launch also opened up the projects work to the wider community.
Guests had a chance to examine the findings of the project so far, featuring stories from 28 interviewees across 5 employment categories of seafaring, hairdressing, laundry, catering and the armed forces.
The event heard project officer Rosa Kurowska, MC for the evening, as she introduced guests to the work and findings of the project. While The Good Earth, who catered the evening, provided excellent snacks.
