DSC 9359 ThumbnailThis event was joint organised by Ming-Ai (London) Institute and British-Chinese Soldiers' Benevolent Association, and was hosted by Mr Andrew Rosindell MP.

The British-Chinese Soldiers' Benevolent Association (BvCSBA) is a government registered charitable organisation in Hong Kong. Its prime object is to provide youth development training to Hong Kong younger generations from low income families, newly arrivals from mainland China and minorities. In addition, BCSBA also provides welfare service to senior citizens as well as British-Chinese soldier veterans and dependants who are in need.

The evening was started off with a tour of Parliament from Mr Andrew Rosindell MP and was followed by a dinner in the Members Dinning Room. Speakers included Carol Michaelson of the British Museum gave an informative talk on the 'Army of the Afterlife' and Chungwen Li who introduced Ming-Ai and the British Chinese Workforce Heritage project.

The event gave interns and staff of the project a chance to speak with army vetrans about their exepriences and feelings about remembrance, an important topic with the remembrance events taking place over the weekend.
