National Army Museum Workshop (7 Nov 2013)
The National Army Museum hosted a workshop, attended by Ming-Ai (London) Institute staff and interns of the British Chinese Workforce Heritage project.
At the workshop a group interview was conducted with 10 members of British Army based, with 5 vetrans coming from Hong Kong to attend the Remembrance Day service on Sunday. The group interview, led by Robert Fleming, a curator for the museum explored memories of joining the army and interviewees reflections on remembrance.
The group interview was then followed by a chance to speak to individual interviewees, including Set Yuen a currently serving soldier in the British Army, and two other British based vetrans Johnny Liu and William Santos.
The British Chinese Workforce Heritage project works closely with the National Army Museum, as a project partner. This is one of many events that the project has collobrated with the museum on, past events have included trainings on museum curation and reinterpreation workshops.
