Manchester Research Trip (17-19 Jul 2014)
On the third research trip outside of London the project visited Manchester to pay a visit to one of the largest Chinese communities in the North of England. The aims of the trip were to find more information in regards to the establishment and history of the Chinese community in the city. To find this information various figures in the community were interviewed, from community groups, health centres and business owners to gain a wide picture of Manchester’s history.
The trip lasted three nights with two days of interviews. Split into two teams project staff were able to interview 16 people, making a strong contribution on the overall input of the project.
The interviews from the trip to Manchester will be published at the end of the project.
