The British Chinese Workforce Heritage (BCWH) project was involved with the National Army Museum as part of their ‘British Lion, Chinese Dragon: 200 years of Britain and China in Conflict and Collaboration’ which aimed to help the museum learn more about British-Chinese soldiers and workers in the British military. The BCWH project assisted in the reinterpretation of various items in the museum’s collection, from pictures and photographs to physical objects.

Participating in the reinterpretation events were volunteers and project officers, who with the curators guidance hoped to provide their understandings and knowledge from a perspective aside from the previous prevailing narrative. The interpreation workshops were held on two seperate days, both revealing some facinating insights.
