CAHG Annual Conference (15 Jul 2015)

CAHG 2Community Archives & Heritage Group Conference 2015:
Enthusiasts for History – Community Archives, Public Engagement and Volunteering

Chungwen Li, the Dean of Ming-Ai (London) Institute has been invited to present the British Chinese Workforce Heritage Project at the "Community Archives & Heritage Group Annual Conference".  She has introduced the roles of project volunteers (more than 90 active volunteers during the 3-year period), how the project engaged the community groups and the overall achievements.

The theme for this year’s conference is engagement.  The conference is dedicated to exploring and celebrating the enthusiasm in history and heritage, which is found across in our many communities. The keynote speaker, award winners and group presentations all address the theme of engagement, illustrating how community groups engage the public in their heritage and how volunteers and volunteering are core to everything in community archives.
