British Chinese Armed Forces Heritage

The University of Hong Kong, 6 April - 7 April 2017
Regent’s University London, 5 July - 6 July 2017

The BCAFH Project organised two international conferences with linked exhibitions with the support of the hosts of the conference, the University of Hong Kong and Regent’s University London, with Ming-Ai (London) Institute. The symposium in Hong Kong is titled “Chinese Dragons, British Lions Symposium” and the conference in London is titled “British Lions, Chinese Dragons Conference”. The symposium and conference, brought together academics and leading authorities in the field to explore the significance contribution from the Chinese people to the British military throughout the 19th and 20th centuries, and to engage with the multi-faceted history of the British Chinese Armed Forces.

A linked exhibition is displayed and remained open for visitors for extended periods beyond the conferences in both universities.
