Dr Ji Dong Wu 吳繼東博士

Dr Wu was born in Nanjing in Jiangsu Province and studied extensively in China before moving to the UK in 1994. He studied Chinese medicine in Nanjing, followed by further postgraduate studies in both Shanghai and the UK. He obtained his Masters from the Acupuncture Department of the Shanghai College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (later became Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine) and his Doctorate from the Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine.

Throughout the years Dr Wu has been active as both a lecturer and a practitioner at several institutions nationally and abroad, holding a senior lecturer position at Middlesex University in the UK.

Dr Wu was elected as the Chairman of the Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture UK from 2003 – 2007, and then the Secretary of the Association 2008 - 2010. He was also appointed by the Minister of Department of Health as the committee member on both the Independent Review Panel for Borderline Medicine and Herbal Medicine Advisory Committee under the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency.

Since moving to Cambridge in 2007, Dr Wu has opened his own traditional Chinese medicine clinic with his wife and is kept busy by his work there along with his continuing academic activities. He continues to enjoy life in Cambridge along with his wife, two daughters and one son.
